It’s the start of a new week. Some of the New Year sparkle may be starting wear off as you face the reality of 2022 and what that means in your life!
Reality comes with a bite and while we do have mini-milestones and moments to earmark and celebrate, the fact remains that doing life is hard work! We have to put in the hours to reap the rewards because there are simply no free handouts!
Now, before I start to sound too much like a cliched motivational speaker… let me move forward!
There is a an old proverb that speaks of wise men planting seeds for trees they know they will never enjoy the shade of. It is quite a profound thought really! This idea that you are preparing the way for those still to come. You are putting in the hard work, you are the one sweating. You are the one facing every day’s trials while you know the end result may occur far after you are gone.
But what a powerful thought! What a magnificent concept to know you can have a part to play in the lives of those you have never, and may never meet! What a legacy to leave.
While each Monday may seem dreary, or you may already be digging deep to face the new week, this concep tis something to cling to! This thought can serve to spur you on to just keep going. You may not think your efforts are noticed. You may feel as though it is all for nothing – but some day, somewhere – somebody will reap the rewards of the foundations you are building.
So, as you face this new week, smile, pull those shoulders back and know – to somebody… somewhere… some day…. you are a super hero!
